Jones was documented as out on the Dolphins’ last injury news of the week due to a groin injury he endured early in the team’s 31-28 loss against the Buffalo Bills.
The statement was anticipated, given the essence of the injury and the timely turnaround due to the Thursday night game. Jones has only missed two events since 2015.
Who lines up next to Xavien
The big problem now will be around which player Miami will select to have opposite of Xavien Howard.
Based on the last game, rookie first-round pick Noah Igbinoghene, in the 2020 NFL draft, had a hard time against the Bills wide receivers specially Stefon Diggs.
An additional option would be second-year player Nik Needham. Needham also had a challenging game against Buffalos receivers. He permitted six of seven completions and gave up 93 yards.
Roberts should help the rush defense
Another Player that was out last week was Linebacker Elandon Roberts, who will return after missing the Week 2 game against Buffalo.
