Football has arrived in the 305
Your Miami Dolphins are back! Here is what to watch throughout the opening game: while all the focus will be on the performance of Patriots QB Cam Newton since Tom Brady has gone to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Newton will be the first non- homegrown QB to start for New England since Scott Secules in the 1993 season.

Proportionately compelling will be the matchup among Miamis wide receiver DeVante Parker and Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Parker had a monster game last time these two faced off, getting the best of Gilmore. Gilmore won the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year award. Parker lit up the Patriots defense with eight catches, 137 yards in the season finale. Parkers’ performance occupied the news all offseason.

Bold prediction for the Miami offense is that Preston Williams WR2 will lead the Dolphins in both receiving and catches. Williams has big-play ability and can effortlessly go over 100 yards in his first game back from a torn ACL. Parker was the headliner of the last matchup among these two teams. Nonetheless, with a healthy duo and the increased attention Parker will receive, Williams should be the primary recipient of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s aggressive play.
